SamFwTool Scam Exposed: Trojan.Dropper Detection and Crypto Wallet Theft

I am publishing this warning after my own experience with SamFwToolSetup_v5.4.zip.

After I installed and ran the software, my XMR Feather wallet was compromised. The wallet was open on my computer and contained approximately $3 million. Shortly after the installation, the funds were drained. My files and private cryptocurrency wallet information were also stolen.

This is not a general theory or a warning based on someone else’s story. I personally installed SamFwTool, experienced the wallet theft, and am now documenting what happened so other people do not make the same mistake.

A Malwarebytes report concerning SamFwToolSetup identified a malicious payload as:

A Trojan.Dropper is designed to execute on a computer and deliver additional malicious software. In this case, the detection is consistent with the type of malware used to steal browser data, cookies, saved passwords, account credentials, wallet information, private keys, and seed phrases.

SamFwTool appeared to work normally, but that does not make it safe. Malware can operate in the background while the visible program performs its advertised function. A working phone-service or firmware feature does not prove that the installer is clean.

I also contacted the person associated with the tool, Đặng Thanh Tùng, also known online as Tungtata or Tung Tạtạ, through Telegram. After I reported what happened, I was blocked and received a laughing emoji. This response increased my concern about the software and the people promoting it.

I do not trust positive Trustpilot reviews or promotional blog posts defending SamFwTool. New accounts continue to post claims that the tool is safe and that security detections are false positives. Positive reviews and search-engine articles do not disprove a malware detection, and they do not explain why my wallet was drained after I installed the program.

My experience is that SamFwTool is a scam tool containing malware capable of stealing sensitive information and cryptocurrency. It should not be downloaded, installed, or run.

Do not trust claims that SamFwTool is safe. Do not trust claims that every detection is a false positive. Do not trust reviews published to promote the software.

Do not download, install, or run SamFwTool or any software from samfw.com.
